Time Warp

Ever go looking through old photos with a certain goal in mind, and before you know it hours have passed and you have completely forgotten what you were even looking for.....
And during those hours you find yourself looking back at all those little moments lost in time and you laugh and shed a few tears (I wont lie) and think for the billionth time, WHERE DID TIME GO?

Today, I had one of those moments.
Bear with me.
Buckle up.
Its a time warp.

This was taken the year of 2005.
The year my first baby girl was born.

Oh man.
Oh sheesh.
She. is. so. tiny.

My thoughts?
'look at how little her pigtails are!'
PS: Those little sandals she's wearing, I still have them.
PPS: My mom still has my little baby shoes, this may be a genetic selective hoarding disorder.
moving on....

Little sister arrives!
Wasn't this just last week?
 No. really?
I coulda swore.
*super sniff*

 Oh my garsh.

Pigtails again.
I can almost calculate their ages based on there length.
Its a strange thing.

I don't even know what to say.

Except, I DO realize this is just the beginning of many mental breakdowns in my future.
There will be middle school.
They will someday be teenagers.
Car driving. eek.
There will be *gulp*, boys...
Someday they will leave for college.

I will need medical attention during some of these events, but until then I'm going to enjoy every minute..
and keep on clicking away and adding to my 493,576,038,862,193.7 pictures.
Because as bitter sweet as it is, I enjoy a little time warp every now and then.

Baby Bump

The first great-great grand-baby for my grandma is due in June. I can't believe it! It seems every year our family is growing, and now MY grandma has two greats in front of her name? CRAZY.

To put it in prospective, our yearly Thanksgiving celebration has been moved out of homes and into an elementary school cafeteria, there's that many of us. Its amazing how because of my grandparents all these people are here. Amazing.

So anyhoo, back to the great-great part. I took some baby bump photos of the mom-to be this weekend...

Oh Baby!

Oh man.
We got a newborn in the family again!
My husbands pseudo brother and his wife just had their first baby last Friday.

I can honestly say he is one of the cutest newborns I have ever laid eyes on.

My youngest would of gladly taken him home, dressed him up in doll clothes,
fed him from a fake bottle and possibly renamed him wack-a-roozer.
(she's crazy creative like that.)

It was a struggle not to allow her.

Minus the renaming part, of course.

Isn't his mama beautiful?

And here is my husband.
What is it about manly men holding babies?
Its like a crazy oxymoron that just works so perfectly.

Sunday Drive

On Sunday my mom, the girls, my husband and I went for a Sunday drive. Its been forever since we have just gone somewhere, just to go somewhere....ya know?

So we loaded the fourwheeler, packed some snacks, got the dog and headed out.

We ended up having a picnic lunch with a great view.

See my mom and the girls?
They got some fishing time in....minus the actual catching a fish part.

And I'll be dang!
We came home with a actual photo of me!!

The girls kept track of all the animals spotted along the way:
Elk herd #1:
We heard this a lot:
"Where?! Where?! Where?! I CAN'T SEEEEEEEE!"
Having the vision fortitude of a 3 year old can be stressful.

Big Horn Sheep:
 "I SEE IT!"

One poor hen was pulverized by the car ahead of us and we ended up driving through a whirlwind of feathers. It might be wrong of me, but it was kinda cool.

Elk herd #2:
They were close, so we ALL got a good look. Twice.
We had to turn around to look again.

I'm bound by the girls to also say we saw lots of cows, horses, and many different kinds of birds.
We all had a great time, and when we got home the girls went RIGHT to sleep....and so did I. :)

Outtakes Entitled

The girls and I had a fun time creating our 'windblown' photos and I wanted to share the outtakes.
As some of you may know, sometimes photos remind me of songs...these however just yell one liners to me.

"Can't. Breath."

"Suppa Model"

(Didn't you get that vibe from it too? hehehe)

Thanks for reading!

Wind Blown

I heart faces challenge this week is 'wind'.

Knowing how much my girls love the blow-dryer I decided, why not just create our own kind of wind?

Oh man, was it a FUN idea!
Some of the outtakes I got were hilarious, but this one of Sis really captured it for me.

I feel a call from Conair in her future.

vrrrooom, vrooom!

My 3 year old told me the other day that she loves our neighbor boy and wants to marry him.....
later that day I shot this:

See that blurry blob on the right?
Thats neighbor boy.
She 's watching him ever so closely as he is  riding his motorcycle....
motorcycle with training wheels, that is.
(Isn't there some sort of cliche about daughters riding off with boys on the back of motorcycles?
Does this apply to motorcycles with training wheels?? *gulp*)

I may need to mention that neighbor boy wants to marry my oldest.
Oh dear.

Childhood love triangle aside,
both girls got to take a spin on neighbor boy's other mode of transportation:
"Go sister!"

"Make that turn!"
"oooohhh yeaaaaaah!"

(I love cheering on my kids via photos! This way I can be really obnoxious and not embarrass them, or myself for that matter.)

and now back to the little one....
after a little instruction from dad....

She was off!

Ok, I need to be honest.
ALL boys need to watch out for HER.
She is very strong willed, knows how to get her way ....and....well, she can't steer very well.
She could run you over.
Both literally and figuratively.

Beach shadow

The theme for I heart faces this week is 'shadow'.
This is a photo from last summer when my girls, mom, grandma and I went to the coast.

This is my mom leaping in front of Haystack rock. :)
